Here's a nutty idea. Place Gourdie in a planter and plant some sort of fast-growing vine next to him. As the vine grows this summer, wrap it all around him. A week before Halloween, cut the vine at ground level and let it wither and die. You'll then have a withered, dead-vine wrapped portable Gourdie to proudly display this Halloween! Just a thought. Here in Georgia I use a vine called kudzu. Kudzu spreads faster than...well..never mind.
