It started as a bike trail next to my aunts trailer in the Ocala National Forest in Florida. My uncle and I cut the trail and tested the trail each night for the best scares. It took about a month to put together. we built the sets and made a flyer to advertise. we ran with a small cast of about 20 and ran for 2 nights. the electric company even came out to shut off a few ke…

Everyone seems to have been in the spirit this year! Maybe its the recession and the horror movie revival going on lately...
...But the simple pleasure of Halloween seems to have been in great supply this year!
For my part, we released two free albums, got the ball rolling on the label, and definitely had a fantastic weekend.
Carving pumpkins while watching the Halloween series in order. Hard cider and the utlimate ale six pack (Ichabod's Pumpkin brewed Ale, Bealzabuth 13%, Punk'n Ale, a ni…

standing on my head on a unicycle with a cracked frame and one flat tire while balanced on a flaming tightrope suspended 100ft over a patch of cholla cactus in broken-glass mulch, meanwhile juggling a lit tiki torch, a running chainsaw, and a wild 40-lb bobcat hopped on PCP as I evade fire from five Marine snipers in treetops 150yd away with orders to smoke 1000 rounds each... oh, did I mention the alligators? all that, whilst I'm mentally composing an angry Letter to the Editor that likely won'…

All right you primitive screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my brainstick! You can find it in the school supplies department. That's right, this sweet baby was made by Eberhard Faber. Retails for about nine cents. It's got bonded graphite, bus-yellow paint, and... an eraser. That's right. Shop sm0rp. Shop s-c0rp. You got that?

While watching the SyFy original series "Ghost Hunters," we only get to see a very small part of their personalities, but last night I got to know Jason and Grant a little better. I attended an informative lecture given by the two super nice and very down to earth guys at The Pullo Center in York, PA. They spent the evening discussing the incredible experiences they have had while doing paranormal investigations and showed some very convincing videos and EVP's they have captured. The two are bot…

Last weekend was the opening of the "Ghost Ship" in Wilmington aboard the USS North Carolina. I helped to design and build the haunt, as well and trained the actord. The plan is to only sell 1500 tickets per night. On opening night without huge amounts of advertising they pulled in nearly 1000 tickets sold, plus a few comps. To top it off, there were exactly 0 security issues and only two people had to be removed, (both were volunteers working below decks)
We're hoping for a sellout for the res…

You'll have to read part one to follow along but this is an update about this "Scary New Haunt."
Today I received a response (email) from the Zoning Officer from the township this haunt is in. He did go and inspect the haunt yesterday. He then sent me a chastising email in return today. I was warned as part of the email to not share the email with anyone because it was confidential. So... I will not share his email but I will give you the gist of what was in it and how I responded.
He first poin…
