At the first haunt I worked at my boyfriend at the time and I tag teamed this room that was set up like the hotel lobby where I was the girl behind the desk and he was the bell boy and there was this one gentlemen, much much older, who we almost gave a heart attack and he screamed "Mary Mother and Joseph!" lol and I will always remember that!

Repo: The Genetic Opera

So while in St. Louis for the TransWorld Haunters Convention a nice guy told me to check out Repo: The Genetic Opera on DvD from a local video store.
I have to say that although I like "musical theatre" more than "Opera" :::the difference being musical theatre has at least SOME dialogue between songs::: I was pretty pleased by the overall show.
The storyline was unique and catchy, the costumes were a rare mix of fantasy and goth, and the sets/scenery were to die for!!!

I just got my second request for costumes in from a local guy and his brother who are shooting a zombie film short. I have only hung out with these guys a few times and went out for coffee once, but they want me to design and produce a DarkLord Costume for the final climactic scene of their movie. All seems to be going well. Super Exciting!

So after coming home from the Convention I already have one costume order! How exciting is that? It's for a Theatre group near the Chicago area. I think maybe this could really be something, besides my boyfriend and I's idea about starting a production company that specializes in Haunt Industry Appearal specifically for Haunters to wear as streetclothes... T-shirts, Keychains, Hats, etc. I am really seriously thinking about it now.

I recently saw the funniest puppet show on YOUtube...Night of the Living Dead the Puppet Show. It was done at one of the conventions and when they kill the zombies with shot guns the candy spills out over the audience.

There are national puppetry guilds "Puppeteers of America". Every major city has one. Many of the members are from the old guard of puppetry and it is a good way to start into puppetry since many of the members are very helpful in passing on their craft. Just like the Haunter Conventions there are Puppetry conventions as well. And the big convention in Atlanta, Ga.

Yes I do. But reciently I have not had the time to make any. I need to make a series of new Punch and Judy...ones more suited to the show...but with all the work I do I have not been able to put it together.

Machine gun air cannon at Midwest Haunters ?
Does anybody remember at Midwest, who was it that had the hand-held PVC machine gun air cannon ? they had a working model in thier booth. Very cool prop, but I can't remember the supplier and don't see it in any lit I grabbed.
