HauntUniverse.com - The Haunt Industry Network

I received this via email:

I would like to invite you to take part in the Eastern Haunters Convention in Valley Forge, PA on May 2nd to 4th, 2008 at the Sheraton Great Valley Hotel. We are currently looking for vendors and "door prizes". Any donations made to the door prize will have the donors name proudly displayed and announced at the convention.
The Mechanicsburg Haunters Gathering or PA Haunters Gathering began several years ago in Michael Bruner's backyard and grew to this massive event attended by people all over the east ranging over 10 states! This year promises to be the most exciting year yet with the most amazing Haunted Attraction Tour and the Cajun themed Cadavers Cotillion!
I would like for you to check out the website and see for yourself all the wonderful events we have planned for this year at http://www.easternhauntersconvention.com/. If you need further information please contact myself or Michael Bruner at themonstermaze@comcast.net . We may have started out small but we certainly aren's staying that way and we would love to proudly display your name next to a vendor table or donated flyers.
Thank you very much for your time in reading this letter. I hope to hear from you!

Sincerely,
Daelynn Farrell

Anybody know anything about it or the people staging it? The haunt tours look pretty cool...

IT seems like it will turn out to be a fun time to hang out and check out the East Coast.

We haven't attended any of the PA stuff, but it looks like we should try to fit it in, especially since we're in Ohio.

anybody else here end up coming out to this? we did and had a blast. I have to say for a first year con it truly was amazing. I wish they had more vendors(but it's a first year convention) but at the same time the fact that it was still small was also a benefit because we got to know a bunch of really cool people. and the haunt tour is a must if you can next year they are talking about shocktober or bates awsome chance to tour the haunts without the lines and get the behind the scenes with a bunch of cool people.

I attended this and have to say I was pretty impressed all around. It was on the small side but still packed a lot of punch. The bus tour was hands-down one of the best parts. We went to Eastern State Pen, the Mutter Museum and the Fear Factory, both haunts performing and giving tours as well. It included a catered lunch and dinner.

Vendor's were really taken good care of as well, I know I have no complaints. Seminars were informative and the masquerade ball was a blast. And the hotel staff was extremely accommodating.

So yeah, I highly suggest folks going next year if they can.

I went and had an awesome time! The lectures were informative and the costume ball was a blast. my only regret was that i did not do the tour on friday so i will be keeping that in mind for next year!

It was a blast! 5 of us went and the tour was the hit!
It was a bit on the small side as far as vendors but that will grow by next year.

The Philly are has 3 million people in a 3 hour radius.
Being smaller had it's benefits, you got to rub elbows and have a drink with legends like John Burton! He actually signed the x-rays I got from him!

Bad Boys Senic Design went out of their way to take time to visit with everybody and answer millions of questions.

I have over 550 photos posted on www.myspace.com/TerrorTechnologies go check them out and join my friends army while your there...

Joined too late! Hopefully you'll do Eastern Haunters Convention again next as Valley Forge is only a hop, skip & jump away from NJ.

I didn't attend this year, but fully intend to next year.

The show this year was co-run by Michael Bruner and Rob Kocher, and I hear they did a fantastic job. There is a wealth of haunt interest in the tri-state are, and it's so exciting to see the eastern coast being serviced by an event like this!
